How Often Do You Need to Workout?
Lifting weights technically injures your muscles as you increase the load in your workout. This injuries make the muscles sore after working out. But don’t worry this is a normal process. Your injured muscle will eventually heal and with continuous repair, proper nutrition and best supplements for men, your muscles will adapt to increasing its size and strength.
Following the Traditional Workout Routine
Many people say that as you workout and lift, your body improves and adapts making the healing time after lifting much lesser as you progress.
If you are a beginner in lifting plates, your body may require around 48 hours before it heals. Other experienced bodybuilders may require just 24 to 36 hours before their muscles fully repair. It is indeed true that muscles, in order to be bulky and strong, must undergo intense load and workout.
This is the reason why you should you should know your working out schedule. Aside from your body’s healing and repair time, we should also consider your time and lifestyle.
Working Out to Build that Muscles
You might think that working out should be done everyday to increase the load on your muscles – this is wrong. There is a study comparing the 2 groups, 1 group works out 3 non consecutive days a week and the other group works out 6 days a week.
In a span of 6 weeks, both groups were evaluated and experts saw little to no difference in their muscle strength and gains.
This study also observed that the participants who undergo training 6 days a week didn’t seem to experience fatigue and overtraining. And this challenges the 24 to 36 hours of healing time of the muscles.
So frequency of training is not a problem. If your busy and didn’t have the luxury of time to spare for working out then exercising for 30 mins during lunch break will do. If you can only work our 3 days a week, prolonging the duration to achieve the benefits of working out.
